One more week to raya but I’m not really pleased to face the coming days. We always have this arguments when it comes to balik kampung and to be honest, I rather stay here, watch TV and enjoy the short holiday.

I had an accident last two weeks. Aiman and I were on our way back home from Uniten when the motor slides while taking corner and both of us fell hard on our backs. Being the passenger, I suffered the most but the wounds are getting better by now. It’s my first accident that got me hurt badly and I had to skip few classes due to the injuries. Yep, that’s the best part hoho.

I won’t recommend any good phones to girls from now on. They aren’t bothered with apps, games & hacks. All they need is a new branded one with style and trendy. The phone must be pretty, sleek and gorgeous to the eyes. Gehhh, its their money, why should I bother too then.

Hacked my phone

Been busy with school lately and I haven’t got much time to blog anything. I tweet less too hoho. Anyway I found one hack for Nokia 5800XM today. Pretty good modification I’d say.

iPhone wannabe.

It’s not just a theme as the setting and display can be personalized too. A total of five homescreens are available but I just use three. Everything is smooth and fast, no lag at all. Gila lah..

‘Hack’ Nokia 5800XM jadi HTC

Nak jadikan Nokia 5800XM korang camni?

Ini display je, tapi still better dari homescreen Nokia yang membosan tu.

Ikut steps ni:

Click Apply cer.

Isi semua yang berkaitan. Dial *#06* untuk dapatkan IMEI number.

Nota: Setiap application yang korang nak install dalam 5800XM kena disign dulu. Lepas dah sign, baru boleh install dalam phone. If not, phone akan display certificate error sebab setiap sign hanya berfungsi untuk satu phone je.

Contohnya aku dah sign app A untuk phone aku. So kawan aku dah tak boleh guna installer app A tadi sebab app A tu hanya untuk aku. Dia kena sign guna IMEI hp dia sendirik.

Korang kena check selalu site tu kot² diorang dah approve application korang. Paling cepat approval dalam 2-3mins tapi paling lama boleh sampai 1 hari.

So bila dah approved (gambar atas), korang akan nampak ada menatang .cer & .key terpampang kat situ. Click untuk download. Certificate & key ni lah yang akan signkan apps korang lepas² ni.

Download file ni pulak. Ni app untuk modify UI phone korang ke Nexus One.

Un-rar kan file dari 4shared tadi. Ada tiga benda dalam rar file ni:

POT Sign Tools
SPBShellUnsignedGeneral.sis
SPBShell folder

Double-click POT Sign Tools. Bukak tab Sing SIS Tool. Click CER dan tujukan ke file .cer yang baru korang download tu. Buat benda yang sama pada KEY (.key).

Drag file SPBShellUnsignedGeneral.sis ke ruang seperti dalam gambar. Ubah Settings kalau nak, kalau tak nak sudah. Tekan Sign Sis Files. Make sure korang dapat bezakan file yang dah signed & unsigned. Kita hanya perlukan signed file (SPBShellUnsignedGeneral.signed).

Plug in phone ke PC/Lappy dalam mode PC Suite. Bukak Memory card storage > Others.

Dalam folder Others ni, drag masuk SPBShell (folder) & SPBShellUnsignedGeneral.signed (.sis). Cabut phone dari PC.

Search balik .sis tu dekat folder Memory Card > Others (dalam phone). Install benda alah tu. Make sure install dalam Memory Card!

Basically, tu je lah cara nak install dia. Lebih daripada tu, korang explore la sendiri yek. Amacam cantik tak? So far aku guna, benda ni tak pernah hang & movement antara homescreen sangat smooth. Takde pape error.

SPBShell ni makan dalam 20MB daripada RAM phone, so phone akan jadi agak berat kalau kita bukak apps banyak sangat. Dinasihatkan, tukar Themes setting phone ke normal one (Sound Wave) supaya tak la teruk sangat lagging phone tu nanti.

Untuk apps lain, boleh try site ni. Kalau apps tu masih belum disign, just guna POT Sign Tools tadi untuk sign dan install ke phone.

P/S: Setakat ni aku try benda ni kat 5800XM updated to version 5 (dial *#0000* untuk check phone korang version apa). Version kurang daripada tu aku tak jamin akan jadi.

New? I just knew about it lol. Maybe it’s still in trial period since the promotion is only available from 1 April – 30 June 2010. Look for the Bi Weekly package: 2 weeks of subscription for only RM18. Which means 1 month will only be RM36. That’s cheap! And I bet I couldn’t finish 100mb in 2 weeks time since my Nokia 5800XM wouldn’t use that much bandwidth for Facebook and Twitter apps. Oh and free calls too with mobile Skype app.

NICEEEEEE~~~~~~~~!!!

Now make it RM30 for monthly subscription I will totally subscribe that!

Dyla and I are bored at home. While waiting for the new semester to start this Monday, we asked mami if she could ‘support’ us with kaching for some jajan. And this is what we bought:

YES! Shrek and colour pencils.

Not like we bought the clay thingy on purpose. We got it free for a box of Milo cereal *cough*. Now, let’s begin the colouring game!

I screwed up so I decided to make him interesting by making him bad.

New Blogspot feature: Real-time Stats

If you’re new to blogging, you would probably never heard of Google Analytics. But for the veterans, Analytics is proven to be the most important thing to be installed on your blog. It records the traffic and analyze the blog performance for you so by end the of the day, you get to see how far your blog goes.

But it’s not a real-time statistic. To fix this, Google introduce Stats. You can only have this with Google’s blogging platform, Blogspot though. It’s not yet available in the normal dashboard so you have to visit draft.blogger.com to test the new feature.

Uhh the numbers are not great. Sorry~

Given a few timeframe option to choose, we can see which entry is the most popular at the moment and from where the visitors are coming from. Just like Analytics, minus the 24 hours wait. Try it out :)

Kawan anda tinggalkan Twitter.. kenapa?

Bila kita bercakap pasal Twitter, mungkin ada rakan yang bertanyakan apa ke jadahnya Twitter tu. Kita pun apa lagi, mula la bercerita Twitter itu Twitter ini, promote dan bagi tahu cara-cara nak tweet. Diorang pulak akan register, add dua tiga rakan yang mereka kenal dan mula tweet. Lepas dua tiga jam, diorang blur, bosan dan tak tau apa lagi nak tweet.

Then diorang tanya balik;

Apa aku nak tweet lagi ni?
Dekat sape aku nak tweet?
Ada ke orang baca ni?
Eh tweet tu apa?!
Ala.. Baik aku main Facebook je!

Betul? Hahaha.. Mungkin ini puncanya..

Diorang add kawan rapat

…atau mungkin dia cuma add kita sorang je! Diorang ni masih baru, so kita yang dah tegar ni perlulah recommend orang-orang yang patut di follow. Suggest few people, hah mungkin tak semua yang kita cadangkan tu sesuai bagi dia. Ajar dia macam mana nak follow dan un-follow.

Ingat, Twitter ni tak ada rules kena follow balik. So terpulang kat kita nak tentukan sape yang best, sape yang hampeh.

Diorang add ramai sangat artis

Sekali lagi, tak semua tweet daripada seseorang tu sesuai bagi kita. Memang la kita nak tau perkembangan artis-artis atau orang-orang besar, lagi-lagi pasal gossip dari ~~mulut err~~ jari dorang sendiri tapi kalau dah penuh timeline dengan tweet diorang je, sape-sape pun akan rasa menyampah.

So buat user baru, cuba follow dulu mereka ni, tapi bila rasa macam over, pandai-pandailah delete. Atau pun gunakan Twitter List.

Diorang guna official web Twitter

Masa awal-awal dulu pun aku rasa bosan dan susah bila gunakan web Twitter ni sampailah aku tau pasal desktop application Twitter. Bukan tak boleh gunakan web Twitter tu cuma tak dapat la live update notification macam guna application.

Tweetdeck, Seeismic, DestroyTwitter adalah antara desktop application yang boleh di ~~muat turun~~ download. Free je.

Ajar diorang guna Twitter List

Hmm actually tak guna Twitter List tu pun tak pe. Kalau nak gunakan function Group dalam application pun boleh jugak. Apa yang perlu dibuat ialah filter setiap user tu mengikut group. Contoh group yang boleh dibuat adalah seperti Artis, News, Kawan, Family etc. So takde lah semak sangat timeline kita. Tau kan filter tu apa~

Diorang jarang online

Sape kata Twitter ni kena guna Internet je. Nak hantar tweet guna SMS pun boleh. Sini ada satu perkhidmatan SMS untuk hantar tweet. Tak mahal mana pun. Sesuai untuk kepochi benda penting yang berlaku kat sekeliling kita macam tetiba pulak Pusat Pakaian Hari-Hari ada sale 90%, atau Ariel Peterporn tetiba dilepaskan. Yelah, nak kepochi kat Facebook tak sempat, bukan semua orang ada iPhone kan?

Tips: Nak update status Facebook melalui SMS? Register dekat SupaSync ni dan send SMS ke Gladlycast untuk update status Twitter, tapi jangan lupa sertakan sekali keyword #fb. Secara otomatisnya status Facebook korang akan terupdate. Clap clap!

Diorang takde follower

Sebab takde follower so diorang rasa tweet diorang tu tak penting. Betul lah kan, buat apa nak buang masa tweet kalau takde sape nak baca. Tapi bagi aku, selama aku guna Twitter ni, aku tak pernah pun rasa perlu ada follower yang ramai. Yang aku utamakan cuma tweet dari orang lain, yang mana aku rasa penting dan berguna.

Diorang berborak la pulak

Adoiii ini memang salah guna la. Aku memang pantang benda camni. Kalau nak borak, baik guna Yahoo! Messenger atau MSN. Kecuali lah kau ni Steve Jobs and orang lain suka dengar topik yang korang bincangkan. Atau ngumpat kau.

Kesimpulannyaaa!!

Twitter ni sebenarnya akan menjadi menarik bila ada info atau benda kelakar yang seronok dikongsikan bersama, dan kita sebagai penerima pulak akan sebarkan benda tadi kepada follower lain. Bila orang nampak tweet kita penting dan berguna, mestilah dia nak follow.

Ingat, semua benda tak datang bergolek. Blog nak maju pun kena mula dari bawah. Apatah lagi benda pelik macam Twitter ni. Lain lah kalau kau ni artis, itu memang la jatuh dari langit berguling-guling.

Satu benda kena ingat. Setiap orang ada citarasa sendiri dalam memilih ~~waw!.~~ Mungkin Twitter tak sesuai untuk sesetengah orang sebab banyak lagi site yang boleh jadi tempat share info macam Facebook etc. Ini cuma pendapat aku, terpulanglah nak setuju atau tidak. Benda baru kalau tak dicuba, mana nak tau sedap ke tak sedap. Tapi tak perlu lah nak ada satu semata-mata nak ikut trend. Just be yourself okay? (:

Pidgin

With so many instant messaging (IM) applications exist nowadays, users got confused over which service is the best for them. I have friends in 4 different IMs: MSN, Yahoo! Messenger, Gtalk and Skype and each of them drain every little bit of my laptop memory.

To solve this, I use Pidgin. Its just like Linux instant messaging service, Empathy, and it combines all sort of IM applications into one single light messenger. You can integrate Pidgin with many popular IM services but sadly it doesn’t support Skype. Well at least Pidgin already saves you some precious bytes am I right?

You can combine friends in different protocols (MSN, YM etc) under one group and it has useful plug-ins which you might add.

Some cons here: It doesn’t have IMVironments, themes, Audibles and those interactive games etc. Just plain simple messenger.

Foxit reader

I love Adobe Acrobat Reader but the loading takes so much time and to make it worst- its heavy. You may want to try other pdf reader and here I recommend what I usually use- Foxit Reader. The function is pretty much the same, plus there are tabs just like your internet browsers so you can save spaces, thus tidy things up.

OpenOffice

This is an open source software to replace our Microsoft Office. Same feature, same function, same formats and what's important- it’s free.

Archimedes

If you’re an architecture student, you might wanna try Archimedes. It works just like AutoCad.

Google SketchUp

This is another AutoCad/Pro Engineer kinda software but its free. Came from Google itself, you might expect some user friendly tools and functions. Really really easy to use. There is a premium Pro version but the free one is already enough for you to design your own virtual room or houses.

P/S: I’m actually looking for a new laptop and Asus a52jk seems to fall within my budget. Any other suggestion?

New stuff in town macam gadgets, news, traffic reports, events, weather forecast, advertisement.. Semua kita boleh tau selagi kita follow Twitter account orang yang berkenaan. Dan yang paling penting updates tu adalah yang paling pantas kalau nak bandingkan dengan TV, radio, paper or even main websites. Biasanya diorang ni akan tweet dulu, then baru la nak bagi tau kat paper and so on.

Next is about sharing. Aku selalu lompat² blog (orang puteh kata blog walking). Then kalau aku suka blog tu aku akan follow, tak pun aku letak link dia dekat blog aku. Tapi kalau aku tertarik dengan cerita/isi entry orang tu dan nak kongsi, agak susah kalau setakat copy paste link then post dekat ym status atau Facebook. Daripada apa yang aku tengok, orang jarang click and kalau diorang click pun, yang tau pasal benda tu cuma mereka yang dalam friend list je.

Twitter ada few functions untuk memudahkan share info. Salah satunya ialah retweet (RT). RT ni berfungsi untuk forward tweet seseorang supaya dapat diterima oleh follower kita. Oleh sebab Twitter message (tweet) ni terhad kepada 140 words je, diorang ada function untuk memendekkan URL. So untuk share link website yang panjang berjela tu tak la sesusah mana.

Aku suka hantar random message secara bundle dekat member². Contohnya macam hari tu kitorang ada main pantun bongok thru SMS. Bayangkan kalau ada 5 kawan yang join merepek sekali, tak ke kita kena send to all 5 person at once- hanya untuk satu pantun ala-ala Jarjit yang ntah pape tu? Kalau semua orang guna telco yang sama, takpe la.

Solution untuk benda lagha ni: Aku cuma perlu tweet pantun bongok aku sekali, dan kawan² aku akan terima. Untuk reply balik diorang boleh gunakan function reply @, or RT, atau kalau nak private manja² gedik boleh Direct Message DM aku. So kerja merapu raban dah dipermudahkan.

Then lately orang gunakan Twitter untuk cari duit poket lebih. Contohnya macam ChurpChurp service. Company ni akan bayar kita untuk post tweet pasal sesuatu iklan. Bagi aku tak susah pun kalau setakat nak tweet sekali je. Berbanding dengan iklan yang kita letak dekat blog, nak harapkan orang click iklan tu memang la payah.

Berkenaan dengan follower ni, sesiapa je boleh follow aku selagi aku tak set following option to private. So kalau kita nak follow orang² hebat/terkenal macam pemimpin or artis tu no hal je.

Mostly orang tweet guna main website iaitu www.twitter.com. Tapi aku lagi suka guna 3rd party application untuk PC macam DestroyTwitter. Takpun boleh try TweetDeck atau Seeismic, semua ni adalah desktop application. Ala-ala ym cuma ni untuk Twitter. Kalau dapat new tweet dia akan notify.

Banyak lagi kot kegunaan Twitter yang aku tak tahu. Baru je guna tapi dah seronok sebab info masuk tak putus². Ada je benda baru orang kongsi, and temptation untuk click link yang diorang share tu sangatlah tinggi. Cubalah explore benda alah ni seminggu dua, tak rugi pun. Boleh je sebenarnya aku main tweet dengan kawan² bloggers tapi kalau member² real life kita main sekali kan lebih seronok :)

My Mind is the Scene of the Crime

What will happen if someone has a way to enter your dream? Hoo that doesn’t seem to bother you huh. But think of the worst thing he can do to you, say for example.. stealing it?

Maybe losing a dream is not your worst nightmare but for me, to have a dream is already rare enough. I’m one of the few people that can hardly recall my own dreams so when I get to have one, I’ll remember it forever. Some of us would say they don’t dream or they never dream but it’s actually not true as all of us experience dream every night. Researchers suggest that most of us will not be able to recall dreams unless we are awaken directly after having one. I second that.

This is a new movie starred by Leonardo DiCaprio which is about him having a rare ability that can steal secrets from someone else’s dream or subconscious mind. His excellent records made him a wanted man and he is now in danger of losing his precious life unless he completes a task which is the contrary to what he always does.

He is asked to plant one.

Ayat lazim Orang Melayu

Jemputlah masuk, rumah I kecik je.

Aku tak suka bila datang rumah orang, then dia cakap macam tu. Mungkin bagi dia ayat tu cuma nak beramah mesra, rendah diri atau niat cuma nak jemput tetamu masuk, tapi banyak je ayat lain boleh guna. Tanya khabar pun boleh sambil-sambil nak jemput masuk tu.

Pada aku ayat tu cuma akan gambarkan personaliti kita yang tak yakin & kecik di mata orang. Kau kerja kuat-kuat, dapat rumah besar camtu, bersyukur je la. Aku tak pernah kisah pun rumah kau kecik ke, rumah kau macam istana ke, asalkan ada tempat duduk & ada kipas. Air-cond lagi bagus.

Bila nak kahwin?

Soalan cepu emas makcik-makcik bila jumpa masa kenduri. So kalau rasa takde lagi pakwe atau makwe tu pandai-pandai lah berhias untuk nampak muda dan innocent. Jambang & misai kasi shave, muka kasi make-up licin baik punya. Hanya dengan cara inilah anda akan terselamat daripada soalan killer ni.

Anak dah berapa?

Ini lagi satu, balik-balik tanya soalan ni. Golongan pakcik-makcik memang gemar sesangat tanya soalan typical yang sangat menjenguk tepi kain orang ni. Tapi biasanya ayat ni berkesan untuk mulakan perbualan je. Anak dah masuk tadika la, sekolah la, universiti, kerja bla bla bla dan akan meleret-leret lagi sampai masa untuk pulang tiba. Hebat-hebat.

Mintak alamat rumah, nanti kalau senang-senang kami boleh singgah.

Tak payah.. Memang ko takkan datang punya. Bazir je ink pen tu tulis-tulis alamat. Orang Melayu memang pandai berkias.

I ada jumpa Datuk ini Datin itu hari tu. Datin tu pun ada kata bla bla bla..

Ah penting sangat ke ko sebut perkataan Datuk & Datin tu berbelas kali dalam perbualan? Siapa je dia sampai nak kena panggil macam tu? Aku rasa dia pun tak kisah kalau nak bahasakan diri sebagai Encik or Puan. Dan kau pun tak perlu la nak ulang banyak kali yang ko kenal diorang tu semua. Jilat la jilat banyak-banyak. Taraf dia hamba Allah jugak, bukan wali ke apa. Aku kenal ramai orang yang kejar pangkat bodoh macam tu gahh ini dah masuk politik so aku berhenti.

P/S: Aku baru dengar salah satu daripada contoh kat atas tu, sebab tu aku rasa geli dan emo sengsorang.

Here in the blogosphere, I just want to be called nesca. Some sort of nickname I used since I was a child.

I was born 6th February 1986, in University Hospital in Petaling Jaya at 1:40am, been living in Klang Valley ever since. I think I'm a happy go lucky guy, childish, ignorant and annoying at the same time and very bad in giving speech or even talk. I would rather stay silent and only talk when necessary *wahahahhaaha* Yeah do believe me.

I can be really irritating at time, oh I have this male-PMS thing too, sorry about that but just bear with me. I hate waiting for appointment, I like nescafe alot and obsessed with Green. I’m no good with my languages, I mumble to myself most of the time, so you can just nod to everything I say, I don't mind.

Currently still studying at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) in Mechanical Engineering. I had a very bad history that I’m not very pleased to share and it explains why I still haven’t graduate at the age of 23 dammit! Well life goes on~

Nokia X5-01: Now a Square!

Noticed Keanu as Dad? LOL.

Introducing X5-01, a new model from Nokia. Launched nearly 3 days ago at Singapore Nokia Connection event, this phone has attracted lots of attention: probably because of it’s strange build. Square, bulky and looks like a Mini Disc player to me. Unfortunately… It doesn’t have slot for the disc.

Also a social media built in phone, everything is almost there at the homescreen. Slide and you get a QWERTY keypad underneath the display screen. Tweet, update Facebook status, check emails or change music track easily with it.

Oh, one more unique feature comes with this palm sized gadget is the shaking thingy. Shake and the number of unread messages in inbox will be displayed. Spin the phone (yes literally) and the DJ will shuffle and choose random songs for you. Uh.. Some guts are needed for that to happen. Unless you’re playing with someone else's phone :P

200MB internal memory, comes with 2GB Micro-SD card (upgradeable to 32GB)

Brazil goalkeeper Júlio César - A supermarket ball that favoured strikers and worked against goalkeepers.
Giampaolo Pazzini, Claudio Bravo and Iker Casillas agreed with him.
Italian keeper Gianluigi Buffon - It is very sad that a competition so important as the world championship will be played with such an inadequate ball.
Brazilian striker Luís Fabiano - Supernatural, as it unpredictably changed direction when travelling through the air.
Brazilian striker Robinho - For sure the guy who designed this ball never played football. But there is nothing we can do, we have to play with it.

Czech goalkeeper Petr Cech - Good visibility due to the colour pattern, that felt good to handle, and when kicked it had good control.

Nuffnang and Toy Story 3 screening

I don’t have any favourite team for World Cup. All I want to see is beautiful football. Weird? I don’t think so.

Of course I was rooting for Deutschland.. They were awesome, so calm in ball possession and super skill play but they were up against Australia so I can’t say much huhu. Australia were nothing compared to them. And Italy.. They are not as great as before. Maybe the veterans have grown old.

Anyway, thanks to Nuffnang for the contest, we got ourselves a ticket each to watch Toy Story 3 in 3D at Mid Valley Megamall. Too bad Normie can’t make it as she lives in a land far far away.

It was a great great super fun movie. Much much better than the previous sequels. Definitely a must watch movie!

Hide World Cup Twitter updates

Does your Twitter timeline been flooded with World Cup updates all night long? Poor you but there’s a way for non-football lovers to hide those annoying updates.

Ever heard of hashtags? Now, if your Twitter client is as cool as mine, you can actually hide those World Cup related hashtags from appearing.

If you’re using DestroyTwitter, look for Preferences > Rules > Exclude these keywords. Insert hashtags such as #worldcup, #wc2010, #2010wc or any relevant keywords. With this setting, any tweet with those hashtags will be kept out of sight. Tada!!

To those who tweet like crazy while watching the match (like me huhu), do a favour to your followers by including World Cup hashtags in your tweets. They won’t be annoyed and your number of followers too will stay safe :)

I don’t know about other Twitter clients though, probably the setting is there. Look for it!

P/S: I love Twitter search updates during the games. Football fans around the world will tweet about it and most of them are hilarious! Especially the #vuvuzela!

A stadium/blowing horn. Vuvuzelas have been controversial.They have been associated with permanent noise-induced hearing loss, a possible safety risk when spectators can't hear evacuation announcements, potentiality spreading colds and flu germs on a greater scale than coughing or shouting^[.

From Pyramid to Mines

Fuh sangat bergaya.

The bowling session we had got our fingers a little numb today. We went to Sunway Pyramid early in the morning (mind you, time is actually a subjective matter) only to be turned down by a small group of makciks, having their lanes occupied for a tourney, I think. Since we got all the time in the world as abah is on his so-called-‘emergency’-leave, I suggested to bowl at Mines Resort instead.

Quite far from Subang Jaya just to throw some stupid coloured balls down the longkang lane I might say, as we have other alternative spots like Summit USJ and IOI Mall for that, but we proceed to Seri Kembangan still. RM10, 3 games together with shoes renting. Nice right? Only for early birds.

Wan is new to the game so he’s kinda shy and hesitates to throw.

There! Finally!

Abah, Dyla and Mami.

Man, abah is good! Most of his aim yesterday were perfect, but his performance slowed down over time. Hehe dah tua. He’s actually practising for his bowling tournament few weeks from now. Sometimes I wonder what he really does during his working hours as most of the time he only mentions about sports and activities that JKR organize for their employees. Badminton la, bowling la, bola tampar etc etc. Biar betul..

So who’s the winner?

If we rounded up the scores, it would be Dyla as she scored 100+ points in each session. But the beginners luck award goes to…..

… Mami!
