Nothing interesting happened for the past few days, class class and class. And lately been caught up with emotion, fuelled by money problem. Other than that, it’s always the same routine.
I’m not making any resolution for next year, made one for Islamic year though but I’ll keep that only to myself. Resolution is pretty lame thing for me, I don’t have this motivation thingy to keep my words. I even make excuses which normally will just make thing worse. Stubborn, ego. That’s acap for you.
Seems like everyone is getting married nowadays. My cousin, Yan will be having her ceremony this coming Saturday. Soon will be the moment for my two schoolmates, Chot and Anis, hm forgot the dates. My former housemate, Faliq maybe this January. Waw waw! Siapa cakap being 23 tabley kahwin? Hahaha.
I wish them great happiness and enjoyable days ahead! Congrats :)

Now I should stop playing around and focus.
A nice acoustic, with a great lyric too from BFMV.
BTW, congratulation to my lil bro, Syazwan, for passing his PMR with flying colours. 7A 1B is great enough, no need to be inferior about it. Now get your all As for SPM :)

My tekak is so kering and sakit with all the shouting and cheering.
Day One
The Qualifying Round started yesterday. We went early, bajet nak tengok the practise session la but the stupid GPS got us went round Putrajaya 2 times before we managed to notice the sign to MAEPS and finally reached the spot. Haih they really should update Malaysia map.
We got the best spot for bystanders, that’s just next to the second cutting point of the track. We stayed and guarded the area macam bapak kitorang punya. We even took turns for solat which was quite melampau haha. But so worth it!
All went well until the rain started to pour. Few drivers got their cars spun out, some even bang the wall. My favourite discipline (=..=) is riding the wall- the drifters need to drift as close as possible to the concrete wall to get more points. They were so brave at this, Mad Mike and Tengku Djan especially, and being only few meters from the track, it was a damn cuak experience for me. Dekat gila kot!
Top 32 drifters managed to pass with Djan (88.7), Hanizam (81.2) and Miki (78.2) lead the top 3.
Day Two
Luckily today the cloud was just nice to shelter us from the hot sun. We arrived at noon, didn’t bother to watch the earlier elimination round and went forward with the Top 16 instead. This time the drivers were being judged on Touge skill (or Tandem as they called it). Sangat cool!
Djan’s way of chasing always got the crowd went wild. Sangat dekat and sangat annoying lols. The Red Bull RX7 driven by Mike were disqualified during the Top 4 round due to having contact with the lead car. Before, he did the same to Ivan’s car too =_=” But he got the most attractive car though..
So who’s the drift king for today?
Sape lagi, mesti la the Malaysian favourite Djan!
I am so excited and yes, puas hati! Many cars and many girls! Drift is always my passion, it just money and skill that keeps me away from driving one. Well at least I got a nice computer to drift in game :)

Note: I’m just a mechanical engineering student, with no coding, command, language bla bla programming background, so please correct me if I showed you wrongly.
This tutorial is about making a virtual machine/PC so that we can run another OS alongside the current one. Eg. make a virtual WinXP system with a pre-installed Win7. Not dual boot system ok!
Knowledge about formatting a PC. Not that hard, just follow the instructions mentioned.
Steps (I’ll focus on WinXP first):
Unrar the WinXP.rar file. Notice there’s a folder named vmdk. This folder contains few virtual hard disc command file. 2g means 2gb of storage capacity, so choose any that suits your need.
Make a new folder, name it WinXP or whatever so you won’t confuse it with other windows file. This will be our new system folder, meaning everything related to the virtual OS will be located in here.
Copy the WinXP (.vmdk) and 5g (.vmx) files into the new folder. Should look like this:
You can rename the .vmdk file if you want, in my case I change 5g to WindowsXPPro, simply because I like it that way.
Right click on WinXP and Open with Notepad. Follow what mentioned in the picture below:
Click File and Save as WinXP.vmx (careful not to save it as .txt).
If you’re using image file (.iso), make sure you put the file in the same folder as the VMware files (.vmx and .vmdk).
Double click WinXP (.vmx) and this will run the VMware Player.
Install the OS like normal.
To boot the virtual OS, run VMware player and choose from there.
If you look closely, you’ll notice few icons at the bottom right side of the player. You can enable/disable any setting you want, this will shift the USB or Bluetooth or External HDD from your host OS (your default OS) to the virtual OS. I find this quite useful as I can always transfer files between my Win7 and Ubuntu/WinXP by just enabling and disabling my HDD. You can’t do this if you dual booted your OS.
It’s pretty much the same for setting up Ubuntu, just make sure you name the required files correctly before you proceed with installation. You can delete the image file (.iso) after done installing. Experiment a bit, I spent hours before I got it correctly. Drop me your comment if you have trouble, I’ll try to assist if possible.

Orang kata kalau takde masalah, kita takkan maju. <---- Aku sokong!! Baru semalam la.
We have this one HP Laserjet 1000 printer with few available toners and still able to do normal printing job. We love him most even though we have another new all-in-one printer at home. The only problem is since most of our computers are running Windows 7 (except Abah’s WinXP), the old horse is not compatible to the new Windows, even Vista users find it hard to get along.
I have been searching for the printer’s driver long but sadly there’s none for Windows 7, leaving me with only 2 options: either to make a dual OS PC or install a virtual machine for the WinXP to run alongside the current Win7. The latter option seems safer because any mistake while installing dual OS will cause me to load WinXP as my default OS.
After hours surfing the net for tutorials last night, this is the result:
Hurray! A virtual WinXP running on a tiny 2GB hard disk! Well later on I found out that 2GB is too small for the system T_T so I repeated the whole installation process, this time with 5GB. Takde kerja betul ah.
Everything’s fine now, I can access USB ports like normal, read CDs like normal, surf Internet like normal and the most important part is to print like normal! Yey! So happy the old machine is now forced back to work nyahahaha!
PS: Will make a tutorial about this in the next post Insyallah.

Hmm I’m talking about RSS/Atom feeds here. Ah wait, what is RSS you ask? RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, used by readers to subscribe to their favourite blogs and news sites. By subscribing to RSS feeds, we can skip visiting the actual websites to read its contents, thus saving our precious bandwidth on heavy loading sites such as nescagraff.com.
You can read for yourself here (RSS) and here (Atom).
Now if you are familiar with RSS reader (eg. Google Reader), surely you notice these two types of feeds: full and partial. Full feed here means you allow full content of your entry to be displayed in a RSS reader, while partial feed as the name suggests is restricted to few paragraphs or 200-300 characters. Meaning readers will have to visit the real blog to read the full entry.
I use Google Reader as my RSS reader. Yeah I admit I seldom visit real blogs to read entries, unless the content really intrigues me to go and click the link. I don’t have all the time in the world to visit the blogs I followed so by using a RSS reader I manage to escape the long time consuming site loading. Although by using one I’ll miss the nice warm feeling from the layout backgrounds, I always go for a visit whenever I have free time at night.
What irritate me the most is when the owners restrict their contents by choosing partial feed instead of a full one. Well to me being a blogger means to share your thoughts and ideas freely, in whatever mean, the readers will always come first.
Why should you limit the feeds? Are you that afraid of losing the page views? Afraid that your ads revenue will drop because readers won’t be visiting the real site anymore? If you are a good writer, people will surely drop a visit to leave their comments. Apa nak risau?
But if your sole purpose of writing blog is about making money, I suggest you should just focus on SEO sites. Recently I have seen some bloggers so desperately pulling visitors to their site by making entries about boobs, sex etc. Hunger for buffered ads?
I often read blogs while at outside using my handset, and I personally will not click sites that use partial feed. Leceh. Too much hassle. You may say by using partial feed, you can avoid plagiarism but to most of your followers, we don’t give a damn. We’re just interested with your content. So if you are still using such setting, please reconsider about this as you are about to loose one cute reader over here.
What’s your thought about this?
PS: For Blogspot users, you may check your feed setting at your Dashboard > Settings > Site Feed. At Allow Blog Feeds, choose between None, Short or Full feed.

Wahai pembaca komik Hong Kong, sila lah tonton Storm Warriors, the second sequel from the first Storm Riders. Sangat teruja tahu! Plot memang harem takde, nama pun komik Hong Kong, obviously pasal lawan semata-mata. Jumpa je gaduh jumpa je gaduh. Tapi tu la best. Graphic mantap. Siap ada scene Juara Tempur tengah berlawan (kira macam Genjutsu: Illusionary technique la ni). Aku tak tau la orang lain suka ke tak. Tabik!
Orochimaru. Kan?
Pedang Setiawan. Tu nama melayu dia. Tapi aku tak follow Pedang Setiawan. Yang aku baca cuma Wira Tunggal, Dewata Raya dan Senjata Misteri. Ada lagi kot serpihan komik² tu, tapi tak baca secara serius. Pendekar Laut tak baca sangat sebab dah terlambat nak ikut. Nak beli sendiri tak mampu so baca je la orang punya. Mana tak nya harga dia RM4.50 kalau tak silap, every week keluar pulak tu. Tak ke sakit?
Pendekar Laut, Belang Tarung dan Petala Langit.
Rindu, so aku Google sikit pasal Wira Tunggal, konon nak cari la scanlation ke apa. Terjumpa site ni. Best wohhhh..

The blog is 1 year old today!
Fakta tipu² tentang blog ni:
Mulanya buat blog untuk sedapkan hati, yalah after that massive blow. Tapi slowly dah jadi macam hobi pulak, kalau tak update rasa bersalah, even bukan ada orang baca pun.
Alamat asal blog ni ialah www.nesca-inthemeantime.blogspot.com. Yes yes it’s freaking long and lame, don’t ask how I got that name. Tak lama lepas tu aku jumpa free domain service, so aku redirect ke www.nesca.via.my. Start dari sini aku mula dapat complains kata site load slow la, error la so aku mula cari alternative lain. Jumpa offer murah dekat GoDaddy, 1st year RM8 je, apa lagi terus beli domain name baru dan kekal lah ia sehingga ke hari ini. Tapi still under Blogspot.
Kadang-kadang aku update sampai dua tiga post satu hari. Entah hape la aku merapu time tu tapi memang rasa banyak betul benda nak kongsi. Mungkin syok sendiri.
Mula join blog community. Bloggerunited dan Blogged.my antara yang terawal. Belajar cari side income from blogging, mula cuba Nuffnang dan Advertlets. Tapi tak laku sangat pun.
Belajar guna Pingler, Google Analytics dan Feedburner untuk enhance blog traffic bla bla.
Menjadi gila traffic sekejap, promote blog sana sini macam sakai. Tapi dah tak buat dah, kalau orang nak baca, dia masuklah. Takde rasa terkinja² macam dulu.
AE86 dan FT86 adalah keywords paling banyak tarik visitors dari Google search engine. Sampai sekarang ada lagi crawler yang masuk. DiGi Pimp My Broadband pun bawak ramai visitors. Hoho tengs!
Mula guna Twitter untuk post new blog update. Mula spam Twitter. Mula syok sendiri balik.
EDIT: Nak celebrate kan? Aku ada 17 Google Wave invites lagi, sape nak please email me your Gmail address (preferable). Boleh kita berconference dalam tu :)
PS: Oh one more, jangan layari blog ni guna Celcom. Celcom tu teruk, suka block sana sini. Sekian :P
PPS: Google Chrome has released Extensions, more like Firefox’s add-on. Not bad, I can see notifications much better now. Some can also block the annoying ads at Facebook.

FM Modulator
Padahal nak ikut Zul je teman dia beli speaker dekat PC Fair KLCC tapi end up aku pulak terbeli lebih² daripada dia. 1TB 3’5 external hard disc , wireless mouse dan FM Modulator. Ops aku beli jugak benda tu Daus huhu. Sebab comel.
Rupa sebenar HDD ni sebenarnya lagi buruk, sebab nak yang murah kan..
Ferrari Enzo aku. Tak precise macam Logitech lama.. Cis. Tau angkat Lambo.
Aku bukan nak tapi terpaksa amik gambar dengan cosplayer Alienware untuk masuk contest diorang kat Facebook. Menang dapat Alienware headset beb. Tak kira la headset ke apa, yang penting Alienware. Aku peduli apa! Alienware lebih penting!
Oh ada jugak test sentuh² brand mahal tu, then joined ni: be the best 10 NFS Pro Street contestants (they should do with other game la. NFS sucks) for a chance to win a laptop. Alienware lappy! Tapi lap aku hancur sebab terguna NOS awal², brader tu kata bley race 2nd time masa dia explain, dan² lepas tu tak bley plak. Takpe la.. Tapi lap Aiman laju woh. Moral: Jangan jadi 1st tester in everything.
I wish I have a DSLR. The models are so.. ehmmm :)
PS: Guys, there’s this drift GP event at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (I dunno where) this coming 19-20 December, organized by ESPN STAR Sports. Ticket price range from RM18 (Walkabout) to RM103 (Grandstand) and each ticket valid for both days. I’m going. Jom jom!
I always dream to own one of their products, but the brand is hard to find here at Malaysia, although we can find few stores selling Macbeth around Klang Valley, the products are not up to date. They once called it ‘brand new’ design. Ek eleh nak kencing pulak, aku dah lama nampak design tu kat website kot. Kalau ‘baru sampai’ boleh lagi terima lols. Haa kat Indonesia pun ada dan murah sikit.
Macbeth Manchester
That Manchester has been in my wishlist since last year, still tak dapat² lagi. The one they sell here (KL) has the same look but the inner part is plain, no conteng² like above. Apa la.. Nasib baik online shopping/shipping kat Malaysia ni susah dan ntah hape hape, kalau tak memang aku dah pakai dah kasut ni. Heh..
